The International Contemporary Ensemble was honored to be included in the YGP International Summer Workshop at the Nervi Festival, held in Genoa and Nervi, Italy.
ICE dancers rehearsed and performed alongside a global cohort of artists, engaging in daily classical and contemporary technique classes, costume fittings, company-style casting, and multi-layered rehearsals.
ICE’s appearance was featured prominently in both public performances:
July 27 – Future of Dance Gala at the open-air Nervi Park
July 28 – Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala, featuring guest artists from the Mariinsky Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, ABT, and more
As part of the gala program, ICE dancers performed excerpts from Bolero X by Shahar Binamini and and Deca Dance by Ohad Naharin, alongside emerging artists and international professionals. This event offered dancers the experience of adapting to repertory restaging, live performance in outdoor settings, and navigating the logistics of a European touring engagement.

The ICE program In Nervi included Shahar Binyamini, staging Bolero X, Matan David, leading Gaga and staging Naharin repertoire, and Ian Robinson leading a Gaga workshop.
